Do you currently have an FAQ page on your organization’s website? If not, you may want to consider adding one. Not only are they a quick way for people to find information, but get this: With voice search becoming more and more popular (we’re talking about searches being done via Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant, etc.), FAQ pages can actually help boost your organization’s SEO.

Think about it: If someone asks their smart speaker a question, and that question appears nearly word for word on your FAQ page, the chances of your site and info popping up increase greatly.

Now the good news is, FAQ pages really aren’t that hard to create. You don’t need special media on there (photos, videos, etc.); it really is all about the Q&As. But that means your content needs to be GOOD.

  • What are the benefits of joining [organization name]?

  • How much does it cost to be a member of [organization name]?

  • How do I join [organization name]?

For members:

  • How can I renew my membership with [organization name] online?

  • How can I join a committee at [organization name]?

For chambers of commerce…

For prospects:

  • What is a chamber of commerce?

  • What are the benefits of joining [chamber name]?

  • Who can join [chamber name]?

  • How much does it cost to be a member of [chamber name]?

  • How do I join [chamber name]?

  • How do I find out if a business is a member of [chamber name]?

  • Can I attend [chamber name] events if I’m not a member?

For members:

  • How can I update my company’s directory listing?

  • How can I advertise my business with [chamber name]?

  • Can I use [chamber name]’s logo on my website?

  • How do I renew my membership with [chamber name]?

  • Can I offer a special discount to other [chamber name] members?

For travelers:

  • When is the best time to visit [city/state name]?

  • Is there a tourism office in [city/state name] I can visit?

  • What’s the best way to travel around [city/state name]?

Remember, your website is the first point of contact many people have with your association or chamber. You want it to be user-friendly and full of valuable information so they’ll stick around longer, and hopefully, join!
