Since Facebook started to put friends’ posts above business ones in the feed, the “Boost post” button has been the easiest way for companies to get themselves noticed. It costs little, doesn’t require strong advertising skills and is fit for absolutely any purpose, from promoting an event to introducing a new product.
With the new boosting option you don’t have to leave SEMrush Social Media Poster to get more views, more upvotes or more clicks for your post.
Just go to your Facebook posting calendar, choose the post you want to headline (the ones that perform well in organic search tend to show even better results when boosted) and press the “Boost” button or go to the Posts tab and select the target post from there.
Once you’ve done this, you’ll be taken to a straightforward form to select your goal, audience, campaign timing, and budget
You can focus your boosting campaign on reach (get more people to see this post), engagement (get more people to react, comment and share) or link clicks (get more people to visit website).
As for audience targeting, the options are the same as on the original Facebook page: you can include and exclude users of a certain age, gender, location, demographics, interests, and behavior.
