But here’s an idea for you that may also add some value: a handwritten note calendar.
Hear us out: As you know, writing handwritten notes takes time. But it’s SO worth it based on the kind of impact that can have. Now we’re willing to bet that at some point in time, you wanted to write some handwritten notes, but just simply didn’t have the bandwidth. An email just had to suffice. (Or, depending on the situation, you decided to just forgo any kind of communication. It wasn’t really “that important.”)
Wouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t have to do that anymore? That’s where a handwritten note calendar could come in handy! There will always be busy seasons, but if you can plan ahead, you can make those notes more of a priority, and better yet, more of a reality.
Are handwritten notes really that important? Worth creating a calendar for?
They can be! Think about your donors for a second. They play a huge role in the success of your organization and the advancement of your mission. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could send your donors (or your major donors, depending on the size of your donor base) handwritten notes…
- During the holidays
- A year after their first donation
- After they attended an event
- Before Giving Tuesday
Those are thoughtful and strategic touchpoints that could really have an impact on donor relations and fundraising. (And note: Those are also typically busy seasons, so again, that’s where having a calendar could really come in handy.)
